Automotive example: Measuring a hot wire mass air flow sensor with frequency output

January 19, 2016

A new lab scope measurement example about measuring a hot wire air flow sensor with frequency output is available. This measurement is performed using an automotive oscilloscope, measure leads and back probes.

The amount of air entering an engine can be measured in different ways. This new article describes a sensor that uses a hot wire to detect the air mass flowing through the sensor and gives a frequency output accordingly. A settings file with the measured data can be downloaded.
